Firefighters have been kept busy on the Gold Coast this morning.
A bushfire erupted in Labrador at around 3.30am behind the Tigers AFL club on Olsen Avenue.
A man suffered smoke inhalation in the blaze and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The bushfire was brought under control within around 2 hours.
It’s not yet known what sparked it.
Meantime, frefighters also battled a large mulch fire at a business in Mount Nathan this morning.
The blaze erupted at around 6am at a landscape supplies business off Beaudesert Nerang Road.
A QFES spokesperson said the fire was around 20 feet wide and 20 feet high.
One fire crew still remains on scene at the time of writing.
