Stolen Mercedes found crashed down embankment in rural Gold Coast

A stolen Mercedes Benz has careened down an embankment along a rural Gold Coast road.

It happened along Ruffles Road in Willowvale at around 6am this morning.

It appears the occupants have fled the scene, with emergency crews finding nobody inside the vehicle upon arrival.

The white Mercedes was reported stolen from Broadbeach Waters earlier in the morning.

A QFES spokesperson said one fire crew went to the scene and made the area safe before handing it over to police to investigate.
