Police are investigating an alleged hit and run in Pimpama.
An e-scooter rider was struck by a Mazda Ute while travelling along Rifle Range Road just before 7am this morning.
The driver of the Ute fled the scene without stopping.
The male rider suffered significant pain in his neck, arm and back.
Paramedics, including the Critical Care unit, rushed to the scene to treat him.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment in a stable condition.
A QPS spokesperson says the Forensic Crash Unit has been advised.
