A Gold Coast family has had a rude awakening, as a car smashes through their suburban Upper Coomera home in the middle of the night.
A vehicle ploughed through the front of the Merton Drive property just before midnight, with two people on the run.
The duo inside the car fled the scene before emergency services could arrive.
Thankfully, the family inside were uninjured.
It’s understood there has been significant structural damage to the front of the home.
A police investigation continues.
