Driver on the run after truck and car crash causes traffic chaos on the Gold coast

Police are hunting for a driver who fled the scene of a nasty truck and car crash on the M1 at Oxenford.

The smash happened on the busy off-ramp at 5.45am, causing mayhem for local motorists.

A QPS spokesperson has confirmed no arrests have been made yet.

Paramedics assessed two people at the scene for injuries.

They have been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
