Driver on the run after hit-and-run smash in Oxenford

A search is continuing for a driver who allegedly fled the scene of a nasty hit-and-run crash in Oxenford.

Emergency services were called to Kopps Road around 6.15pm on Saturday following reports a BMW 116i and Volkswagen Tiguan collided head-on.

The driver of the BMW, a 67-year-old Maudsland man, was treated at the scene by paramedics but was thankfully not seriously injured.

Meantime, the driver of the Volkswagen fled the scene before police arrived.

The motorist remains at large this morning, with investigations ongoing
