A person has been taken into custody following a wild stolen car chase across the Gold Coast.
Police began tracking the Ford Ranger around 4pm on Sunday after spotting the stolen vehicle in Robina.
The ute was eventually brought to a stop by tyre spikes at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Helensvale around 6pm.
The driver was taken into custody at the scene.
Police believe the vehicle had been stolen from a home in Miami on Saturday night.
Investigations are ongoing.
