LATEST @ November 29 | Police have confirmed a man has died following a horror crash between a car and bus in Robina.
Emergency crews rushed to Ron Penhaligon Way near Essendon Road just before 4.30pm on Tuesday following reports of a serious accident.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said initial investigations suggested a white Toyota Camry crashed into the back of a bus.
The driver of the bus and six passengers on board managed to escape injury.
However, the driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man from Palm Beach could not be saved and died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating exactly what occurred.
They’re appealing for anyone with information or vision to come forward.
EARLIER @ November 28 | A driver is fighting for life after their car collided with a bus in Robina.
The accident happened on Ron Penhaligon Way at Essendon Place around 4.20pm on Tuesday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson has confirmed the driver of the vehicle is in a critical condition.
Paramedics are also assessing a number of passengers who were on the bus.
However, it appears they are all stable.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
