Police have confirmed they are investigating a fire at a caravan park on the Gold Coast overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the park along Hillcrest Parade in Miami just after 11pm following reports a blaze had erupted inside one of the cabins.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told Hot Tomato three men were at the cabin at the time.

It’s understood they managed to douse the blaze before fire crews arrived.

Two of the men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were treated at the scene by paramedics but declined transport to hospital.

A crime scene has been set up at the cabin, which was guarded by officers overnight.

Police say it’s too early to determine whether or not the fire is suspicious.
