Police are appealing for public help to locate a man reported missing from Pimpama.

William Dilworth, 66, was last seen around 5pm on Wednesday at a home on Lindeman Court.

He was reported missing to Police on Thursday morning.

Police and his family hold concerns for his welfare because he has dementia.

William is believed to be travelling in New South Wales in a white 2015 Hyundai i20, with Queensland registration plates “434 ZGT”.

Information provided to officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District, indicates Mr Dilworth may have been in the Byrrill Creek area, 57km south-west of Tweed Heads, in recent days.

He is described as having short grey hair, green eyes, around 178cm tall with a solid build and is unshaven.

He was wearing a white ‘LA Gear’ hooded jumper, black track pants and white shoes at the time.

Anyone who sees William or knows his whereabouts is urged to contact Police immediately.
