Police are appealing for help to find a Gold Coast man, whose car was found abandoned at Brisbane’s Botanical Gardens after he failed to show up for work earlier this week.

Alexander Smith was last seen leaving an address along Florida Place in Oxenford around 6.30am on February 14 in his Honda Jazz.

He then failed to arrive at work and his Honda was located around 5.40pm at the Brisbane Botanical gardens.

Police say a search of the area failed to locate any sign of him.

Concerns are being held for Alexander’s welfare as he has a medical condition, with his disappearance also being described as out of character.
