The Gold Coast is set for a muggy Christmas Day with temps in the 30s and a fair chance of showers and storms.
It’s also set to be a wet lead-up to the big day with five days of showers before Santa arrives.
Showers will start developing on Wednesday, but thankfully the temps will also start to drop thanks to a change moving up the coast.
Thursday is expected to have a top of 26 degrees but with up to 15 millimetres of rain.
Friday is expected to be slightly wetter with showers easing by the evening.
But they’ll still be lingering on Saturday and Sunday.
Then the warm and muggy conditions will return for Christmas Day on Monday.
The Bureau is forecasting a partly cloudy day with a top of 32 degrees.
It’s also warning of the high chance of showers in the afternoon and the possibility of a thunderstorm.
