A major investigation is underway after a child was found dead at a home on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a residence in Coomera around 8pm on Monday night where they found the 12-year-old girl unresponsive.
She was declared deceased a short time later.
It’s understood the girl suffered from a number of health conditions.
Queensland Police have confirmed a post-mortem will be conducted today.
A crime scene remains in place at the property and the Child Protection and Investigation Unit is investigating.
