Police are currently tracking a vehicle after an officer was allegedly hit by a stolen car on the northern Gold Coast.
Officers were called to the Gem Hotel on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road in Alberton around 10.30am, in relation to a stolen silver Holden Captiva.
A police officer has been hit by the car as the offenders attempted to flee the scene.
One man was taken down inside the hotel and taken into custody, and is now assisting the police.
Two remaining offenders, a man and a woman, abandoned the Holden Captiva, changing vehicles a short time later and fleeing.
PolAir and police continued to track the vehicle and two offenders.
The new vehicle was tracked to Barossa Street in Kingston, where a man has since been arrested.
Police are continuing to patrol the area to locate the woman, who remains on the run.
The injured officer has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
