The occupants of a crash on the M1 Gold Coast have allegedly fled the scene.
The small hatchback smashed into a guard rail southbound at Helensvale at around 12.15pm.
When paramedics arrived, nobody was inside the vehicle.
It’s understood police have now arrived on scene to invesigaite.
The crash has caused lengthy delays with two lanes closed.
As of 12.55, traffic was back to Coomera.
