Firefighters have battled a large bush fire on the northern Gold Coast.

The blaze broke out at around 11.30pm in bushland in Woongoolba.

Five crews remain on scene working to contain it.

It comes as residents in Logan had a nervous night with two massive grass fires burning.

The fires broke out on Wednesday morning in Undullah and Mundoolun.

Prepare to Leave warnings were issued for residents in Flagstone, near Jimboomba and also for Mundoolun, Birnham and near Beaudesert.

These warnings have both been downgraded overnight but residents are urged to stay informed because conditions could change.
