Crews are working to repair a burst water main that’s causing dramas in Surfers Paradise.
The main burst on the corner of Ferny Avenue and Ocean Avenue earlier this morning.
Both northbound lanes of Ferny Avenue are currently blocked with diversions in place.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
Crews are on site undertaking repairs but it’s not likely to be fully repaired until Monday.
Council has also confirmed water supplies in the area are being affected.
“Nearby customers will be supplied with water from tankers, whilst alternate supply is arranged and repairs are underway,” Council said in a statement.
