A man will front court today on a string of charges after he was busted running naked through traffic in Burleigh.
Police rushed to the scene early yesterday morning after receiving multiple calls about the man exposing himself to shocked motorists.
“We got about ten calls in relation to a man who was exposing himself, running in and out of traffic, causing drivers to veer around him,” Superintendent Peter Miles told the ABC.
“Police attended and saw the man in all his glory, he dropped his pants to officers”.
The man, who police allege was under the influence of drugs at the time, was arrested at the scene.
“He was taken to the Southport Watchhouse where drugs were located in his possession,” Supt Miles said.
It was also revealed the man had been wanted on other offences, including the alleged break-in of a local soccer club in December and breach of bail.
He’s due to front Southport Magistrates Court today.
