One of the Gold Coast’s most popular beaches has been forced to close due to a shark sighting.
Boxing Day beachgoers have been forced to keep out of Burleigh Beach temporarily with a number of sharks spotted in a bait ball.
It comes just two days after four sharks were sighted roaming in the same waters.
Hundreds of locals and tourists have flocked to the popular spot for their public holiday.
It’s understood the beach is expected to reopen once the sharks have moved on.
