A major investigation is underway on the Gold Coast after a woman died in an alleged home invasion in Tugun.
Police were called to a duplex along Partridge Place around 1.40am on Tuesday following reports of an unknown woman entering the property.
“Early investigations indicate an altercation occurred and the woman was restrained by the occupants,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“On police arrival, the woman was discovered unresponsive”.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and despite their attempts, the woman could not be revived and died at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
