LATEST @ 4.30PM | Two people are in hospital following a “serious pedestrian and vehicle incident” on the southern Gold Coast.
It happened in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast Highway near 21st Avenue just before 3 o’clock.
The pedestrian who was hit, a woman in her 40s, suffered significant injuries.
She’s been rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, has been taken to Robina Hospital in a stable condition.
EARLIER @ 3.15PM | Emergency Services have rushed to a “serious pedestrian and vehicle incident” on the southern Gold Coast.
A person was struck on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach near 21st Avenue just before 2.45pm.
Critical Care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit are on scene.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
Heavy traffic delays are building.
