A manhunt is underway after a car salesman was attacked and a ute stolen during a test drive in broad daylight on the Gold Coast.
The man went to test drive a black Toyota Hilux from a dealership along Hinkler Drive in Highland Park around 2pm on Monday when the terrifying incident unfolded.
It’s understood the man lunged at the salesman while they were out on the test drive.
The worker was forced out of the vehicle, before the man fled in the Hilux, forcing the dealer to watch on as his ute disappeared.
Thankfully he wasn’t injured.
The vehicle was briefly tracked by PolAir but managed to get away.
Police are still yet to find the car or the person responsible, with investigations ongoing.
