Boy punched, robbed by gang of teens on Gold Coast

Police are searching for up to 15 teens after two boys were robbed in Runaway Bay.

The 11-year-old and 13-year-old were approached by the group around 5.30 on Saturday afternoon.

One of the boys was punched in the throat before having his mobile phone stolen.

The gang fled before Police arrived.

The boy who was assaulted was treated by paramedics for minor injuries.

Police are confident of tracking down the offenders, with some of them known to the victims.
