A young boy has been rushed to hospital following an alleged assault in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
The boy, who authorities described as a “pre-teen male” suffered a head injury in the violent attack along Cavill Avenue just before 11pm on Sunday.
The youngster was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police are yet to confirm whether or not they are investigating.
