There’s been a heart-warming end to the search for a blind dog stolen during a home break-in on the Gold Coast.
Bowie, the tri-coloured Australian Shepard, has been found safe and well in northern NSW.
The four-year-old pooch was snatched from a property on Regatta Parade, Southport on Wednesday afternoon in broad daylight.
The home had been completely ransacked and the family car had also been stolen.
Following an extensive public appeal, Bowie had been spotted by a member of the public inside a vehicle at a petrol station in Yamba, NSW
The alleged dognapper has today been taken into custody at Nambucca Heads.
It’s understood Bowie’s family is making their way south to reunite after a stressful two days.
More to come.
