Bike rider suffers ‘significant head laceration’ in nasty Gold Coast crash

A bike rider is in a serious condition in hospital after they crashed into a sign on the Gold Coast last night.

Emergency services were called to Bardon Avenue near Lutana Avenue in Miami around 10.30 pm following reports of the crash.

Paramedics, including critical care and the High Acuity Response Unit, assessed a man in his 20s briefly at the scene.

He’d suffered a ‘significant head laceration’ and had to be taken to hospital for further treatment.

He’s understood to be in a serious condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
