Beatles legend Paul McCartney is heading to the Gold Coast, with the Glitter Strip to be the final stop on the star’s Aussie tour announced this morning.
The 81-year-old will bring his Get Back tour down under, starting in Adelaide on October 18.
“I’ve got so many amazing memories of my time in Australia over the years,” McCartney said.
“Our last trip was so much fun. We had such an incredible time.”
“Each show was a party, so we know this is going to be incredibly special. Australia we are going to rock! I can’t wait to see you.”
He’ll then play Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 21 before heading to Newcastle on October 24.
Sydney will get a chance to see him at Allianz Stadium on October 27 before he hits Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on November 1.
He’ll then wrap up his tour at Heritage Bank Stadium on the Gold Coast on November 4.
“On the back of the success from the Queen + Adam Lambert, Guns N’ Roses and Harry Styles concerts in recent years, Heritage Bank Stadium has cemented itself as a world-class venue to host the biggest international touring artists on the planet,” Heritage Bank Stadium General Manager Tim Carey said.
The tour will be McCartney’s first down under since 2017 and is likely to be his last.
The first pre-sale tickets will be available from this Thursday.
Tickets to the general public go on sale on August 11.
