Motorists are being warned of lengthy delays on the Pacific Motorway this morning following a multi-vehicle crash.

Four cars collided in the southbound lanes at Stapylton, near the Albert River Bridge, around 6am.

Several people were treated at the scene by paramedics, but all managed to escape serious injury and declined transport to hospital.

Police are urging drivers to avoid the area if possible or to allow for extra travel time as crews work to clear the scene.

More to come.
