A festival that aims to bring people of all abilities together for a day of fun is coming to the Gold Coast this October.
The all-inclusive Festival of FUN (FoF) will be held at CBUS Stadium on October 9 and has been specifically tailored for people of all ages living with a disability, as well as their families, friends, carers and guardians.
The event will feature a “Field of FUN” music arena showcasing singers with and without a disability, a Try Me Sports Arena, an Art Hub, Business Expo, fireworks and so much more.
FoF Founder David (Macca) McFarland said the festival will be the first of its kind to happen in Australia.
“The Festival was conceptualised out of the lack of accessible and inclusive experiences available for those living with a disability in ‘traditional’ festival and carnival settings,” he said.
“The Festival aims to bring everyone of all abilities together, to have FUN and create a platform to do more for people living with a disability.
“Festival of FUN is about the person living with the disability, giving them a voice in what can sometimes be a voiceless world. Together, our aim is to deliver an Australian-first event that can be shared equally by everyone.”
The Festival of FUN will be held at CBUS Stadium on October 9. Tickets are on sale now and start at $29. More information: festivaloffun.com.au.
