A man has been arrested in dramatic scenes in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
Police were called to a home along Aubrey Street around 6pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.
A short time later, officers found a 36-year-old man armed with a knife.
Police confirmed they had to use a taser to take the man down, before he was bundled into the back of an ambulance under police guard.
The man, from Logan, has since been charged with one count each of possession of a knife in a public place, commit public nuisance and obstruct Police Officer.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on June 16.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
