Alleged stolen vehicle set alight in suburban Gold Coast street

Police are investigating after an alleged stolen car was found set alight in Nerang overnight.

The car erupted into flames along Eden Court around 12.30am.

Fire crews worked to contain the blaze for around 50 minutes.

A QFES spokesperson says the vehicle was “well involved”

The car is believed to have been stolen yesterday from a Gold Coast property.

Investigations continue.
