An alleged member of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang has been charged with extorting, stalking and assaulting a Gold Coast man over the past four months.

The 31-year-old alleged OMCG member from Pimpama is alleged to have supplied a 31-year-old Arundel man with a significant amount of cocaine and instructed him to sell it.

However, the Arundel man refused and returned the cocaine.

“The Pimpama man then demanded $15,000 as payment, claiming the drugs had not been returned, before threatening and assaulting the Arundel man,” Queensland Police said.

“The Arundel man paid the Pimpama man $16,000, at which point the Pimpama man instructed him that the debt had increased to $25,000”.

It’s alleged the Pimpama man then allegedly stalked the Arundel man over coming weeks, before tracking him down and assaulting him at a venue on Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley on January 25.

The matter was reported to police on February 8 and following investigations by Taskforce Maxima and Coomera police, the man was intercepted while riding a motorbike in Helensvale the following day.

He was arrested and taken to the Beenleigh Watchhouse, where police bail was refused.

A search warrant was then executed at a home on Swan Road in Pimpama, where ‘Mongols’ OMCG paraphernalia was allegedly located.

A 31-year-old Pimpama man has since been charged with one count each of extortion, unlawful stalking and common assault.

He was due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, February 10.
