Alleged drug-driver charged after slamming into parked cars

A man has been charged after allegedly crashing into a number of parked cars while under the influence of drugs.

Police were called to the Gold Coast Highway near Fifteenth Ave in Palm Beach at around 6.45pm on Thursday.

Several cars had been damaged in the accident.

A 37-year-old Beenleigh man has since been issued with a notice to appear in court for drug-driving.

He’s also had his licence suspended.

Police have confirmed the car he was driving was not stolen.
