The Gold Coast’s mystery lotto winner has been found after officials from The Lott put a call-out.
The Yatala pair held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday’s draw, winning a whopping $780,000.
They say the prize will go to setting up their children and grandchildren for a bright future.
“Oh my goodness! This still hasn’t sunk in for us. It’s absolutely incredible!” the winning wife says.
“One of the kids saw the post on Facebook asking players to check their tickets and was immediately on the phone to us,
“We thought, ‘there’s no way we’re going to be the winners’. Yet, when we checked the numbers, there they were. We were absolutely gobsmacked!
“There was a lot of screaming and crying over FaceTime when I was telling the kids last night. It’s such an amazing thing to experience!
“It’s going straight to my children and grandchildren. It’s doing to so much good for them and really set my family up for success in the future.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Ormeau Village Newsagency.
