Aussie director Baz Luhrmann has dropped a new trailer for his blockbuster Elvis movie, a month out from its worldwide release.

And if you were hooked by the first trailer, you’ll be blown away by the latest sneak peek.

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley played by Austin Butler and his meteoric rise to international stardom.

The story is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker played by Tom Hanks.

The new trailer showcases more of Butler’s mind-blowing performances as Elvis while also giving us more glimpses of the relationship with his mother and his romance with Priscilla, played by Olivia De Jonge.

We also get a better insight into the movie’s soundtrack which has been described as ‘an infusion of rap and hip-hop with classic tunes by the King’.

The soundtrack will feature the likes of Eminem, Chris Isaak, Stevie Nicks, Pnau, Maneskin, Eminem & Ceelo Green and Doja Cat.

It’s been a long but worthwhile wait for the movie which had a COVID-interrupted production on the Gold Coast.

Elvis will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.

The Gold Coast will host the Australian premiere on June 4 with stars Tom Hanks, Austin Butler and Olivia De Jonge set to walk the red carpet.

Elvis is released in Australian cinemas on June 23.
