Mark Morrison, the British artist famous for his iconic hit “Return of the Mack”, was recently arrested in Florida following an alleged altercation.
According to a report by TMZ published on Monday, March 24, Morrison was detained by police in Palm Beach after allegedly shoving an employee at an upscale oceanfront restaurant. The incident reportedly occurred at Le Bar à Vin in West Palm Beach on Saturday evening. Witnesses claim the singer entered the venue visibly upset, yelling and cursing at the restaurant’s general manager, Nicola Lavacca, before allegedly shoving him in the upper body.
Morrison’s attorney, Rick King, offered additional context to the situation, stating, “This altercation between Mr. Morrison and Nicola Lavacca arose within the framework of a racially charged confrontation. Mr. Morrison and his legal team are working diligently to ensure the facts are fully understood and appropriately addressed.”
The dispute allegedly stemmed from frustrations surrounding an event Morrison had begun coordinating at the venue the previous day. While Lavacca did not retaliate after being pushed, a witness intervened, separating the two individuals and asking the artist to step outside.
