Britain’s ugliest dog, Peggy, has captured hearts and screens with her role in the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie. This pug-Chinese crested mix, nicknamed Dogpool, is making her Hollywood debut alongside stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.

At the movie premiere, Peggy, a five-year-old “Pugese,” confidently strutted down the red carpet. Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, introduced her with a smile. “Guys, this is Peggy, also known as Mary Puppins and Dogpool. Get a good look. Her nipples are the size of children’s fingers. She won the ugliest dog in Britain, but she’s a 10 in our hearts, isn’t she?”

“And that tongue, by the way, is real. I’ve tasted it. She loves to lick, loves to get right in there. She is truly amazing,” he added.

Reynolds jokingly noted that Peggy went through more training than Hugh Jackman did in the gym. “We love her very, very much. She’s a big star,” he concluded.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Reynolds shared how Peggy caught his eye after winning the title of Britain’s ugliest dog. He felt she was the perfect “animal manifestation” of Deadpool’s alter ego, Wade Wilson.
