Paramount Pictures has just unveiled the teaser trailer for “Better Man,” an innovative biopic that takes a fresh approach to the genre by featuring a computer-generated monkey in place of the iconic British pop star, Robbie Williams.

This unique storytelling choice aims to capture the essence of Williams’ life while adding a whimsical twist to the traditional musician narrative.

The film chronicles Robbie Williams’ incredible journey, from his early days as a member of the boy band Take That to his rise as a solo superstar. It delves into his struggles with mental health, addiction, and the pressures of fame, all while celebrating his remarkable achievements, including chart-topping hits like “Angels,” “Feel,” and “Rock DJ.” With over 80 million records sold globally and record-breaking tours, Williams’ story is one of resilience and triumph.

Directed by Michael Gracey, known for his work on “The Greatest Showman,” “Better Man” promises to blend humor and heartfelt moments, showcasing Williams’ signature wit. The film will be released in select U.S. theaters on December 25th, followed by a wider release on January 17th.

In addition to the teaser, a featurette has been released where Gracey explains the creative decision behind using a CG monkey as a stand-in for Williams, sparking curiosity about how this choice will resonate with audiences. Critics have already begun to weigh in, with some praising the film’s originality and its ability to stand out in a sea of typical biopics.
