We finally have a more detailed look at Disney’s Moana sequel with the launch of an official teaser trailer.
Moana voyages back to the big screen this November in the all-new feature film starring Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and demigod Maui, respectively.
In the film Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
An official poster has also dropped on social media.

The new movie will be directed by Dave Derrick Jr. However, Lin-Manuel Miranda will not be returning for the music which will instead be by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina.
In 2016 the original film was a major success, making over $680 million at the box office and crossing 1 billion hours streamed on Disney+ last year, pretty sure 500,000,000 of those were my kids alone.
The animated Moana 2 is coming at a time where we are also expecting a live-action adaptation of the first film which will see Dwayne Johnson reprise his Maui role there too. So, if you are a fan of the story and music then… “You’re Welcome”!
