It was a massive year for Robbie, who produced and starred in the box office hit and potentially movie of the year, Barbie last July.

But instead of celebrating her successes, the beloved Aussie star has opened up about the fears that come with such a blockbuster year.

Robbie has undoubtedly been flooded with movie offers now that she’s become one of the most bankable stars on the planet.

However, she’s confessed that she doesn’t plan on returning to the screens anytime soon.

She told Deadline, “Everyone’s like, ‘Are you taking a break?’ And I’m like, ‘You do know I’m a producer, right? We don’t get breaks.’ I also think everyone’s probably tired of seeing me for now. I should probably disappear from screens for a while.”

Robbie continued, “Honestly, if I did another movie too soon, people would say, ‘Her again? We just spent a whole summer with her. We’re over it.’ I don’t know what I’ll do next, but I hope it’s a little while away.”

Robbie wouldn’t be the first big-name star to take a break at the peak of their career.

Following her Oscar success with Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence decided to step back from screens and didn’t sign onto another project for over a year.

At the time, she said, “I just think everybody had gotten tired of me. I had gotten tired of me. It had just reached a point where I couldn’t do anything right.”

After Robbie’s remarks, fans took to social media to express their surprise at her decision. Most were asking how anyone could get tired of seeing her on our screens, but there was a small group of people supporting Margot’s decision, expressing concerns that the quality of her movies could potentially decline due to over-saturation.
