Liam Payne is being laid to rest as plans for his funeral have been revealed, and all four remaining members of One Direction will be attending the intimate service.
The Sun reports that Liam’s funeral will take place on Wednesday, November 20th in the Home Counties (the counties of England that surround London) and will be “private and attended by just his family and closest friends” and a wake will take place following the service. A source told the publication, “His family have gone to great lengths to put together the perfect service and give him the send-off he deserves.”
The source added, “Liam may have been a global superstar but to Geoff and Karen he will always be their little boy. It is going to be an incredibly difficult day.”
Payne was found dead at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room into the courtyard. Liam was just 31 years old, and leaves behind his seven-year-old son Bear, who he shares with ex Cheryl Cole.
Following his death, tributes from family and friends came pouring in, with his family sharing in a statement, “We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.”
Each of his former One Direction bandmates also shared heartfelt and emotional letters to Liam.
