We love Emily Blunt and this news only makes us love her a little bit more, as she’s taking some time out from Hollywood to concentrate on her family.
In the IHeartRadio podcast Table For Two with Bruce Bozzi, Blunt admits that being in the spotlight has taken an “emotional cost” over the past few years.
“This year, I’m not working,” she explains. “I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the last year of single digits. And I just feel [like] there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little.”
Blunt and husband John Krasinski, who’ve been together for 13 years, have two kids Hazel, nine, and Violet, seven.
Discussing the reasons for the time out she adds, “And it’s ‘Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?’ And I just need to be there for all of them for a good stretch. And I just felt that in my bones.”
However, before she disappears off our screens for a bit, make sure you check her out alongside Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jnr in Oppenheimer that hits cinemas soon!
