A 21-year-old woman has died after her motorbike collided with a truck on the northern Gold Coast.
Police say initial investigations suggest a Yamaha YZF-R6 motorbike was travelling southbound on the M1, near the Pimpama River Bridge, before colliding with a truck just before 7pm Friday.
The rider of the motorbike, a 21-year-old Virginia woman, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating the circumstances of the crash.
They’re appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or dashcam vision to come forward.
