Four people have been charged following investigations into a string of burglaries and car thefts stretching from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast.
Police launched a probe into the property crime offences earlier this month, targeting a core group of recidivist offenders.
As part of investigations, detectives raided a home in Windsor on Saturday night where they arrested a 21-year-old Woodridge man and 20-year-old Morayfield woman.
A crime scene was declared and during the search methylamphetamine, a firearm, GHB, ammunition, drug utensils, a stolen vehicle, stolen jewellery, four sets of high-end vehicle keys, three mobile phones and approximately $5,000 in cash were seized.
Police executed a second search warrant at a Durack address on Saturday, where a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody.
While a 13-year-old Durack boy was taken into custody at Browns Plains.
All four have been charged with a string of offences between them, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, wilful damage, enter dwelling and commit stealing and trespass.
Throughout the course of the investigation so far, police have managed to recover 34 stolen vehicles.
“I want to reassure the victims of crime who have been impacted by this offending, that police will not stop until each offender is off the streets,” Brisbane Region Acting Assistant Commissioner Rhys Wildman said.
“This result is the culmination of extensive police efforts and I applaud the officers involved.
“Police will be relentless in efforts to disrupt, prevent and investigate property crime to help keep all of our communities safe.”
Investigations remain ongoing.
