We’re saying Kia Ora to our friends in New Zealand as we celebrate Jetstar’s new route flying direct from Gold Coast Airport to Dunedin!
And, we’re giving YOU the chance to win an incredible trip to experience Dunedin for yourself!
To win, you’ll need to grab someone you love, and give them a HUG….for precisely 3 minutes (which we all know is the perfect amount of time to farewell a loved one at the Airport!)
So, how do you win?
Step 1: Register below NOW and tell us who you would like to HUG for 3 minutes and take with you on a Dunedin escape and why.
Step 2: Keep your phone handy as Galey and Emily Jade could be calling you back to invite you to our live show at Tallebudgera Rec Centre on Friday 21st March!
Step 3: During our live show our nine finalist couples will compete in our 3-minute hug challenge, with no watches, no clocks….and one lucky couple walking away with this incredible holiday!

One of New Zealand’s best-kept secrets, Dunedin sits on the southeast coast of the South Island.
Home to a long list of ‘onlys’ and ‘firsts’ you won’t find anywhere else. From the World’s Steepest Street, to the only historic castle in the country, not-to-mention, it’s the Wildlife Capital of New Zealand with soaring albatross, boisterous sea lions and the smallest and rarest penguins you’ll ever see – there’s no wait time for these attractions. Dunedin’s “30 waves in 30 minutes” will keep you on your toes – literally, with some of the most consistent surf on the planet. It’s possible to find a nearly empty beach or wave every day.
Dunedin boasts an array of natural wonders and some man-made, they even have their very own pyramids. It’s easy to explore the inner city with museums and galleries all within walkable distance. Dunedin’s café and restaurant scene serves up southern hospitality while their thriving breweries and distillery scene is what they are best known for.
Dunedin has a proud Scottish heritage with beautifully preserved Edwardian and Victorian buildings, infused with rich Chinese and Māori history. It’s nice to know you can fill your culture cup without having to travel halfway around the world.

Tūhura Otago Museum Science Centre
NEW ZEALAND’S BIGGEST SCIENCE CENTRE.
A Tropical Forest with exotic butterflies, waterfall of over 5-metres, and a sky bridge. Kept to the humidity and warmth of a tropical rainforest, this is the hottest place in Dunedin. A three-storey indoor slide, a bike-riding skeleton, and 43 other hands-on interactives awaken wonder, curiosity, and reveal the science in everything that surrounds us. The only bicultural science centre in the world, telling the Kai Tahu creation story and integrating art with science. Tūhura Otago Community Trust Science Centre is a place to discover, learn, and play. You can also combine your science centre experience with a planetarium show with our special Tūhura combo deals.
Monarch Wildlife Cruises and Tours
Picturesque cruise on the Otago Harbour exploring its unique wildlife and landscapes via boat. Cruise a short way out into the Pacific Ocean. Here you can spot rarely seen ocean birds including other smaller albatross species, cormorants and petrels. We also sometimes see blue penguins, dusky and hectors dolphins and other marine mammals.
The OPERA (Otago Peninsula Eco Restoration Alliance)
Learn about the world’s rarest penguin, the hoiho (yellow-eyed penguin) and experience the best possibility of viewing these endangered birds in their native habitat.
Olveston Historic Home
Olveston is an authentic and original historic home depicting the life of a wealthy merchant family in the early part of the twentieth century. Opened as a historic house museum in 1967,
Olveston is a time capsule as little has changed inside the house since it was occupied as a family home between 1906 to 1966.
Dunedin Railways
Travel across Otago’s sweeping countryside, traverse towering viaducts and glide along the rushing Taieri River. Enjoy incredible scenery in the Taieri Gorge as you hear stories about Otago’s rich history from our onboard commentator. Admire the engineering feats of early railway pioneers including hand-made tunnels and the Wingatui Viaduct: the tallest wrought iron structure in Australasia.
Clearwater Wildlife Tours
A chance to see Yellow-eyed penguins, NZ sealions, NZ fur seals, Albatross and a wide variety of birdlife, in their natural habitat. Your small, guided tour, of no more than 10 people, will take you to our spectacular, secluded beach. Our private conservation reserve area is on our historic family farm, at Cape Saunders, on the Otago Peninsula. A wild, and untamed, dramatic environment that we are lucky enough to share with some of New Zealand’s rarest species.
