The occupants of a Gold Coast home have had a lucky escape after a 4WD crashed into the front of their house.
It’s understood the vehicle had been parked on a steep section of The Domain in Nerang when it suddenly started rolling down the hill at around 8.45pm on Thursday night.
The 4WD then reportedly clipped a power pole before crashing into the front of the house.
No one was in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
It’s not clear how many people were inside the home at the time, however, Queensland Ambulance reports no occupants were injured.
Police say it appears the male owner of the 4WD forgot to apply the parking brake.
The 45-year-old man returned a low-level positive roadside breath test and was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice.
