A search is underway for a driver who allegedly hit a woman in Surfers Paradise before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services were called to Trickett Street around 2.40pm on Tuesday, following reports of a woman being struck by a vehicle in a carpark nearby.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told Hot Tomato that when they arrived, the vehicle could not be located.
The injured woman was assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene has since been declared at Trickett Street, with investigations into the lead up to the incident now underway.
Patrols are also ongoing to locate the vehicle involved.
