Police are investigating the death of a man in Surfers Paradise.
The 79-year-old suffered critical injuries after falling from an apartment building on Old Burleigh Road around 8.45pm.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics but sadly could not be revived.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fall were ongoing, but confirmed the death was being treated as non-suspicious.
“Police will prepare a report for the Coroner in relation to the death of a 79-year-old man at Surfers Paradise last night,” the spokesperson said.
“Officers were called to an apartment building on Old Burleigh Road around 8.45pm, where a man was located deceased following a fall.
“Investigations continue into the nature of the fall but the death is being considered non-suspicious”.
