A man and woman have been arrested after sparking a foot chase with police on the northern Gold Coast early this morning.
Police spotted a stolen Mazda 3 parked in Oxenford around midnight and attempted to approach the vehicle, however it sped off.
A man and woman then allegedly dumped the vehicle on Kopps Street before doing a runner.
Police were hot on their heels, arresting a 40-year-old woman a short time later.
The 23-year-old man managed to get away and was eventually tracked down in Kansas Court around 1am after allegedly breaking into a nearby home.
Charges are yet to be laid, with investigations ongoing.
