A major investigation is underway after a home in an affluent Gold Coast suburb was targeted by arsonists three times in a matter of days.

The Hughes Avenue property in Main Beach was first struck on Saturday December 28, before being targeted the following night and again on Monday December 30.

On each occasion, police allege two men used an accelerant to set fire to the front of the property, as well as a vehicle parked inside, before fleeing the scene.

“Investigators also believe those involved are linked to a silver Mitsubishi Outlander which was reported stolen from a Brisbane residence on December 24,” Queensland Police said.

Thankfully no one was injured during any of the arson attacks.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Detectives are particularly interested in the Tedder Avenue and Hughes Avenue areas between 10pm and 12am on all three dates last month.
